Masters in rum, the team of highly skilled distillers at Beenleigh love the highly technical process and care required to develop internationally award-winning spirits. It is as much of an artform as it is a science. Driven by head distiller Wayne Stewart, with a wealth of 40+ years of experience, the team have crafted a unique Beenleigh Whisky, the first ever produced, a piece of history for the historic Australian brand. Nestled away in the picturesque Albert River, who could think of a better place to craft a fine Single Malt Whisky.
Single barrel aged in a selection of ex-Bourbon American Oak barrels, hand selected by our head distiller to be carefully placed into the maturation warehouse, left to develop for five years as the bold flavours mature over time. The result, a unique release of Rare Queensland Whisky.
This is exclusive ensemble of Crème brulee, shortbread pastry, pear, banana, apple on the nose with a fruit-focused palate of banana, passionfruit, oranges with a hint of spice and a medium finish with light oak and tobacco. Malt character and diverse array of fruit aromas are showcased with the subtle bourbon oak influence – yeilding a delightful expression.
This five-year-old Whisky delivers a departure from our Australian Rum heritage, with Master Distiller Wayne Stewart and our operations team executing a stunning segue into Queensland Whisky provenance.
100% Australian made, our first ever Single Malt Whisky will be joining our Distillery exclusive range, of small batch productions and collectors’ items. With a highly scarce number of bottles, this will be highly sought after for our Rum Club members. This is a one-time release, once it’s gone, this batch will never be seen again.
